Can not detect correct screen resolution

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 8:18 pm

My native screen resolution is 1280x768 but it does not list them only 800x500; 1024x640 for 16:10 or 800x45; 1280x720 for 16:9

Also the option to go full screen is greyed out.

I tried to go change resolution manually in Fallout4Prefs.INI file but it did not work.

Please help!!!

P.S.

Yes i have latest video drivers

CPU: I5

VGA: GTX 970

Using Philips TV as monitor

Load the game at least once. I would use 1280x720. Save the game and exit. Make sure to modify the FalloutPrefs.ini in the %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 directory.

Set the following

bFull Screen=1
iSize H=768
iSize W=1280

Now you cannot go back into the Option menu via the Launcher. Just click Play and it should set the resolution properly. For some reason the launcher is only capable of setting resolutions with 16:9 or 16:10 ratios. The GUI may be off-center when the resolution isn't 16:9 or 16:10.

I followed your advice ... now it crashes on starting.

Any other ideas?

Trying running it in borderless windowed mode, change the following in Fallout4Prefs.ini

bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
