Can somebody please explain to me a few things

Post » Sun Jul 07, 2013 12:49 pm

Before you begin asking me about why it is i haven't looked up the questions i have, the answer is simple really, i confide that this forum may just be the most trustworthy information to rely on when it comes to the topic of the elder scrolls. Secondly don't let my date of joining the forums fool you, I was simply banned forever and now i have just recently created a new account today. To the moderators reading this, i have certainly learned my lesson and also have gone over the rules several times so i am quiet aware of what i should and should not be doing. Nonetheless i have a few questions that need answering but only if you are 100% certain of the answer, more or less the truth. Elder Scrolls Online looks very promising and delightful, I hope that you all may shed some light upon my questions.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Is Elder Scrolls Online a single platform game, or shall it be released on the next GEN consoles such as the XB1 or PS4?

2) Please go into depth about the three major factions, what they want, what they hate and what they fight for. I'd like to very much pick my side before the game comes out.

3) This is going to be my first MMO, so can any of you give me a few standard tips or rule of thumb?

4) I thought that skyrim had a huge [censored] world, now i hear the world in ESO is 10x bigger? Is that even possible?

5) is the game itself in 3rd person or 1st person?

6) please list the classes and such

7) last but not least please give me some reliable links so that i can learn as much as possible

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The forums have been such a great experence for me and i really appreciate all the help you guys can give me

- The Elder Fox

P.S. my social life as i know it will be over when i play this game. lol.

1 and 4 are yes. The other answers can be found on YouTube. There's a 19 minute video posted last week. Just search Elder Scrolls Online.

I think you'll find a positive response on that video for almost everything you're looking for.

1. It will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox One and PS4.

2. Polite, but no, that can be found online.

3. Again, you can find this info elsewhere.

4. Skyrim is 4x4 miles. That is very small when it comes to MMO worlds or even many other open world SP games.

5. Both like Skyrim.

6. Dragon-Knight, Templar, Sorcerer, Nightblade

7. Best source we have so far: http://tamrielfoundry.com/development-faq/ - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD7x1KF8N8o

I'll try to answer these the best I can, although I'm not as well versed as some around here.

1) It'll be released on PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PS4 as far as I'm aware.

2) Longer explanation for this. Your best bet is to go here for far more detailed info than I'll provide: http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/game-guide/alliances. Just click on the alliance on the map there to find out more info. Ebonheart Pact is basically the area of Skyrim, Morrowind, and the Black Marsh. It has the races Dunmer, Nord, and Argonian. This is probably the least stable of the three alliances. Daggerfall Covenant is the area of High Rock, Hammerfell, and Orsium (I know my spelling is wrong on that...). It has the races of Breton, Redguard, and Orc. This is the most stable of the alliances (although there's debate going around with that). And finally there's the Aldmeri Dominion, which consists of the areas of Summerset Isles, Valenwood, and Elesweyr (spelling again, sorry). It has the races of Altmer, Bosmer, and Khajiit. This is also a stable alliance, although probably not the most stable compared to the Daggerfall Covenant. Also, the Aldmeri Dominion is NOT the same as the Thalmor in Skyrim. Again, I'd go to http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/game-guide/alliances for better information.

3) Too much to explain lol. In general, be nice to other people, and just enjoy the game. It is multiplayer, so it'll be far different than Skyrim and the like. I find the best way to learn about MMO's is play them yourself. Other people will have a better answer for this one, I'm sure.

4) Yep, definitely :D

5) Both. It used to be only in third person if I remember correctly, but enough people complained so there's an option for either 1st or 3rd person.

6) There's the races I listed above, and the known classes are:

-Dragonknight

-Templar

-Sorcerer

-Nightblade

7) http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en/ is a good source. Youtube also has quite a few videos and gameplay footage, just search "Elder Scrolls Online" and you'll get a plethora of results. And of course these forums tend to be somewhat reliable  Other people probably have better links for this.

Cheers
