I found the bonemold recipe note while randomly exploring Castle Karstaag and later found out it was a quest item. When I talk to Glover he doesn't mention it and there is no dialog option for starting a new quest. Is it possible that finding the note early made it impossible to start this quest or is there a bug?

It doesn't work for me. I got the Ancient Nord Pickaxe, and he won't ever give me any dialogue options other than: "What brought you to Raven Rock" (I thought this one would work since he mentioned Bone Mold, but it doesn't), and "How are things now that the mines are open?". And of course "What do you have for sale".

I even pickpocketed his House Key and tried to get his armor, but his basemant has no actual key and can't be picked.

This is at least TWO quests in Dragonborn that are broke broke broke for me (including the Miraak final battle).

You have to be in with the Thieves Guild for another dialogue option to come up when talking with Glover. I don't think level matters. I did it when about level 16?

I am in the Thieves Guild, but I have not finished the quest line. I stopped after becoming a Nightingale.

The Bonemold quest STILL doesn't work for me.

I'm not talking Thieves Guild main quests (if that makes sense) I mean you have to do at least ONE job for both Delvin and Vex - that unlocks the dialogue with Glover.
