I want to buy a house in Whiterun. I've talked to http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Adrianne_Avenicci but she won't initiate the Greatsword for a Great Man quest. She still has an arrow over her head indicating she's my immediate target but when I choose to talk to her there are only two options: "What have you got for sale" and "What can you tell me about White run." I've chosen both these options several times without starting the new quest. Any suggestions?

Blame Radiant Quest system for this. Sometimes it doesn't give certain quests like this.

Weren't you automatically allowed to purchase property in Whiterun after anyway?

No "Do you work the forge all day" option? Odd...

But, you don't need to do that quest to buy a house in Whitrun, do you?

Oh, ok. I guess I misread the Wiki. Yes, I have been able to buy a house without going through the Greatsword quest. Thanks for the help.
