Can I still finish "I Put a Spell On You"?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 12:08 pm

I started the quest "I put a Spell On You" at Camp McCarran. I keep finding Curtis in the radio tower, but he never says anything for me to overhear about the bomb on the monorail. I think I wasn't supposed to reveal to him about a lead that someone was using the tower late at night and that is why he isn't saying anything on the radio when I catch him in the tower. Otherwise he just sees me and starts shooting. If i leave, I can't go on the monorail to disarm the bomb. If I kill curtis, the monorail blows up no matter what I do. Did I seriously goof up? Is blowing up the monorail seriously going to affect other quests or the rest of the game in any serious way?

Blowing up the monorail does nothing, just prevents you from using it (plus I always hear random NPC's later saying that it's fixed, when it isn't). When was your last save? Can you go back and talk to Curtis in his office?

No, my last save involving curtis was days ago, and I'm not going back now. I guess I'll just blow up the damned thing and be done with it.

Really? I killed curtis and made it to the monorail- admittedly, I barely had enough time.

You're not supposed to let Curtis know they're on to him so no, you can't save the Monorail as far as I know. It won't matter in your game once you have access to the Strip, which you can get with a credit check or a forged pass from Ralph. Next game just don't go back to Curtis.

I don't know about telling him, not hearing the information he's passing along, killing him anyway, getting the deactivation code from his body and then running straight to the Monorail...never tried it...wonder if that will work...? Let us know, ok? :)

I\ve pickpocketed the activation code from him already, but I think my character isn'e supposed to know that he's planning to blow up the monorail. I've tried to rush strait to the monorail after killing him instead of talking to Hsu, but all I get is the option to take the monorail to the strip and not to look for the bomb. After talking to Hsu, the first thing that happens is the monorail blows up. I'll do it a final time and tell you how it turns out cuz after this I'm done farting around with this, I just want to be done with him!
