Be it lagging, game freezing, losing companions to the void of nothingness, not being able to talk to characters I like...and even more things - I'm starting to think I made a mistake getting Dawnguard before the PC/PS3 players got theirs. I'm hoping there will be a patch soon, but I'm seriously considering deleting Dawnguard from my hdd until then.

So Bethesda, would you think less of me if I did?

(PS,another reason of my despair, is that until PC gets it, I won't be seeing pretty hd images of.....certain new characters, probably complete with hd texture packs and better armor on)

Ah dude I have not experienced a single glitch throughout dawngaurd.

i have experienced a few bugs such as the bug with the high elf vampire and my game freezing sometimes.

i've experienced a few bugs also.

I've had the DLC freeze a couple times, not sure it wasn't due to my 360 getting hot though. It's done the same thing in the past so.

They are counting your money whether the bugs get fixed or not.

Those exist?

Odds are low it'll ever get fixed, I'd say just try to find work arounds the best you can.

Or just get rid of it if all you want to do is run the base game.

I weighed the options myself and ending up deleting the saves that weren't working (like...wouldn't get past the first loading screen after I installed the DLC) and forged ahead anyway 25 hours behind where I was.

Likely the best bugfixes Dawnguard will get will be in the unofficial patch.

Ya it is pretty bad with freezing and lag issues for me. Today I discovered that I can't enter Winterhold as a werewolf, freezes every time.

when i first started dawnguard it lagged like crazy and forze a few times where i had to restart my 360 for the first 3 - 4 hours after that i didn't have to many problems with lag or freezes.

I've had 6 freezes 3 while loading and 3 lags that lasted about 20secs.

I have thus far only experienced extreme lag due to the damn fog in Labyrinthian and I crashes from using Vampiric grip on the big bad in Fellglow Keep (it's her damn teleporting around that does it)

Apart from those two I actually haven't had any other problem since installing Dawnguard.

I've experienced some inconvenient freezing, but nothing drastic. I'm sorry to hear of your woes.

Do the following:
Clear you're cache.
Make sure you have allot of free space.
Try to delete ur older saves ( if you have more than 300 per char like me).

If those dont work also try uninstalling it.

I mean, even the cheats, hints, and spoilers section is getting littered with threads that should be in the hardware/software support section, and even then they shouldn't even bother when threads like the one I linked exist.

Idk, maybe I'm just frustrated that I'm seeing all these problems when Skyrim is supposed to be my equiv. to a golden chariot descending from the heavens, and delivering me to the promised land far from the evil that is the BSN community and their butchery of the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer - all in the name of balance. That and 360 edition of Minecraft still lacks the epicness of Creative Mode.

I can't enter the Falkreath DB Sanctuary anymore. When I try to check out the ruins of it a black screen loads every time.

Game froze once and one of the Wayshrines in the Vale didn't appear. Other than that, I've actually had fewer bugs now than I've had in vanilla.

And that's one of the problems I have too. I love DB and this game won't let me have it.

I was lucky enough to go through 200+ hours with only minor broken miscellaneous quests on my main char, but now I'm getting a taste of the uglier side of Skyrim. Both smiths at my Warmaiden's disappeared, I suspect vampires but there should have at least been bodies if that was the case.
