I'm on a 360, obviously. I can't unlock a lot of my shouts. I go into my shout listing in magic and hit unlock and get the "Dragon Souls are required to unlock shouts" message...but I have 9 dragon souls. I can't unlock Air and Battle under Elemental Fury, Ice under Ice Form, Kyne under Kyne's Peace and Voice, Fool and Far under Throw Voice. The weird thing is I've been able to unlock other shouts while having this problem. Is this a glitch or am I missing something? I still have version 1.1 if it matters.

I have the exact same problem, no matter how many souls i have i cant unlock shouts, even if i load a save before the glitch happend. i've even tried loading saves from a different xbox profile which is a completely different character and the problems the same.

Only thing i can think of is to make a new character and i dont even know if that will fix it.

Its very frustrating and a major problem.

yes we are hitting x, that's where we get the "You need dragon souls to unlock" message. It's as if the game isn't seeing our acquired souls. I've unlocked other shouts. I'm not playing right now, so I can't remember which ones. I know I have two levels of fire. I've unlocked other shouts since this problem started, so there is no correlation as to "after this point it won't work". Some unlock and some don't no matter how many souls you have. I also got another shout that I can't unlock since my first post.

EDIT: Ok, I've logged back in to see what shouts I have (that have been unlocked and work properly). I have Unrelenting force (Force and Balance), Whirlwind sprint (whirlwind) and Fire Breath (Fire and Inferno). Now I noticed the not unlocking problem about a week and a half ago. I was still able to unlock Balance and Inferno after I noticed the problem. But, every NEW shout remains unable to be unlocked no matter the amount of souls I have. Also, this morning a found Aura Whisper which was broken like the others (with 9 dragon souls).

GOOD NEWS....KIND OF...not really. I went back into a really old save...about 15+ levels back. I went to a different shout and it unlocked. So maybe it had something to do with the order I did things in causing a glitch...I don't know. It svcks losing that much, but there were a couple things I wish I didn't do on my original build. So far I only tried the one shout. If I have any more problems I'll repost. Knowing my luck it'll go back to the glitch.

I just tried going back to an old save (see post above) and it worked. But, I went waaaaay back and I tried going to a different shout. I think Ice Form was where I first saw the problem. So I went and got Elemental Fury and it worked, but I haven't tried getting another shout so I might be back to square one. Luckily I save a lot and keep about every 50 saves as a reference point.
