Can I use an external harddrive to transfer data from one 36

Post » Thu Mar 21, 2013 8:15 pm

still havent managed to get a usb stick but my sister does have an external hardrive (assuming tht i can find the proper cables because she lost the ones to charge her phone camera and DS ...) but any way would all i have to do is plug it into one 360 put the save files for skyrim into it (and other data too) then turn off console switch to my 360 slim and plug the external in and turn the console on then find the external drive and put data from it to my 360 ??

or would i need to do something to the external 1st before i could use it to transfer data ???

(also mods please don't move this to community discussion even if its more appropriate there probably I'm still not allowed to post there and I don't want to get banned thanks)

You must use a special made Transfer Cable. http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/accessories/set-up-transfer-cable

They can be purchased and most retail stores (Wal Mart, Target or Gamestop...etc...)

im not talking abot useing a 360 hardrive ... I mean like a hardrive for a computer with the cables that make it so it can be used like a usb stick but it can hold like up to a terrabyte or more of data and not fit in your pocket
