I can't use my giant toes for alchemy : V

I started to level alchemy and have 10 giant's toes. When I pull up my list at the alchemy table, the toes are not listed. The toes are in my inventory and if I try to eat one, it says that quest items can't be eaten. I then read through all my active quests, but can't find any that involve giants- at least it's not obvious. Is this a bug or is there a quest I need to complete?

It's a bug. One of those toes are considered a quest item, so the whole stack is unusable.
Did you do a quest with drinking in some bar.

If I remember correctly, Giant's toes are a quest item while on the drinking contest quest called "A Night To Remember"
