Can you achieve 567 armor rating without a helmet?

I use Steel Scaled armour just cause I think it looks hottest on my female character :D

Current Ratings are:

Boots 240
Braces 240
Main Armour 528
Helmet 264

Total: 1272

So yup, easily possible to achieve 567 armour without a helmet :)

Agree. If I went with heavy armor I would prolly go with steel plate (1st)- or ebony (2nd). Both those look pretty slick IMO.

Why can't he just not wear a helmet if he doesn't want one, capping armour doesn't matter.

Because it makes a huge diference in AR. You also don't the 25% perk for wearing all of X kind of armor That's assuming one hasn't smithed and enchanted the living daylights out of their other armor.

lol- The Gryphon hath pownt.

but he is right.
No, he is not. I have not found a limit yet and got to 87% damage absorption. Maybe the cap some people see exist only in NPCs. By the same "nutty" argument can be used to put a cap on the damage of weapons and call everything above 100 damage "nutty weapons", but there is no point in having limits, especially invisible ones. The point rather is, if players want to make armor with higher ratings and use these then they should be allowed just like one is allowed to make weapons with a high damage. Nothing will stop you from putting on lower quality armor.

Why do you need 300 armor rating? One can do master on 200.
