Is it possible to change the appearance of certain amour? I ask because there's a bosmer on one of the loading screens who seems to be wearing leather armour but without the pauldrons. I want that. Also some of the thieves guild have sleevless armour, but the one I got has sleeves.

Is there a way to alter them somehow with smithing perhaps? I had a play around with smithing and it doesn't look like it but I may have missed something.

I'm on the 360 by the way so please don't say "Just get a mod."

Some Armor have multiple versions of the same model (example one with pauldrons and one without).

EDIT: No you can't change your current armor appearance through smiting you'll have to craft another.

I know you can forge steel armor with or without pauldrons. And I've seen leather armor like that also, but there seems to be only one kind in the smithing list.

Just get the PC version............ then get a mod.

Where did you see some, was it on a merchant or was it a quest reward or something? Are you sure it was the common leather armor without the pauldrons (arm pads)? I've googled "sleeveless leather armor" and it seems quite a few people are curious about it. Some mention Linwe's Armour from a thieves guild quest, but that's not it. That's thieves guild armour without the sleeves.

Has anyone else seen the common leather armour without the sleeves like the bosmer on the loading screen wears? I'm level 25 and I haven't seen one yet.
