Can you get kicked out the Imperial legion?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:03 pm

Say if I join with the imperials for a short time... then on season unending I clearly side with Ulfric would General Tullius kick me out of the legion for showing favoritism against the Stormcloaks after the meeting ends? Is this another way to join the ranks of the stormcloaks other than to give Ulfric the jagged crown?

No, I don't believe there is another way.

I don't think you can get kicked out of either the Stormcloaks or the Legion. You can choose to change sides, but only by handing over the Jagged Crown to the "other guy," i.e., the enemy of the guy who sent you to get it. That is your last chance to change your mind and it results in you voluntarily leaving one faction and joining the other, so in reality you didn't get kicked out of anything, you just decided to switch your allegiance.

I guess you could just decide to ignore the rest of the CW questline and roleplay that you were tossed out, but no I don't think you can do anything to make either Ulfric or Tullius tell you to turn in your uniform and take a hike. Whichever faction you're in at the end of the Jagged Crown is the one you'll be in until you play out the war to a final conclusion.

Season Unending decisions have essentially no consequences if you're siding with the enemy, aside from the glitch ocean that quest sits in. You just have to retake the holds as per usual.

I was browsing through General Tullius sounds and I found one in particular where http://www.mediafire.com/?b7p3775u7b4f5w3. <~~~~ I was wondering if it's possible to activate this line... unless if Bethesda tossed this away as well.

Nope, just another thing that slipped through the cracks. Worst that happens is Tullius or Ulfric tell you they're super totes disappointed with you.

I hope thats not true but if it is then Bethesda took away all of the fun in this game. It's disappointing that they don't give us more freedom. I guess that means that they must give more money to the voice actors I guess. Such a shame. Shame that you can't be a spy, etc.

While I get where you're coming from, most, if not all, of the Civil War-related quest things they didn't do are because it would break a billion other quests. I don't mind it so terribly, but a guy like you who's all up in that, yeah, it's pretty lame. >:

I have a question. Ysabel Maro got the Jagged Crown and when she went back to General Tullius, the speech option was there for Season Unending so she went for the negotiation/ceasefire and after that she defeated Alduin in the MQ. She's AWOL from the Legion I guess and still has the crown. If she now goes back to General Tullius, can the Civil War questline still be resolved? Can it progress to its ending now? Thanks. :tes:

That's one of the extra nasty bugs with Season Unending; interference with The Jagged Crown.

In theory, yes, if you do Season Unending and get the temporary truce, once you finish out the MQ you should be able to pick up the CW questline where you left off and play it out from there. But as noted previously there are sometimes issues with doing that depending on where you were in the CW when you decided to initiate Season Unending. My last PC asked for and got the truce before joining either side in the war because I didn't want to risk fouling up either questline by having them cross paths too many times.

All you can do is try it and see what happens. Go back to Tullius and see if you get the dialogue options for returning the Crown. If not, well you can alway hie thee to Windhelm and see if Ulfric still wants it. (J/K unless you really want to switch sides just to unload the damn thing.)

heehee...Ulrich would have to pry the Jagged Crown from my cold, dead hands. :D I know I've seen threads talking about the Jagged Crown and things getting fouled up but I was never sure how much, if anything, had been straightened out. I'm playing as Kiir Srinna right now, she's mostly mage, some archer but I can go back to Ysabel Maro my warrior and continue on there too. I'll have to try it and see what happens. Thank you both for your help. :) :tes:

And if he's nekkid, just roll with it. Sometimes they gotta do that cuz the clothes just slow them down too much, you know?

There's a joke here about couriers and their special sacks, but I'm not gonna be the one to make it. :P
