Just a quick question.
Say I want to play a warrior. Does the game make me have to learn magic to be able to survive battles and finish the game?
Not sure yet what I want to play…either a warrior or mage. If I want to be a pure class can I do it or force to be a hybrid to learn everything?
Thanks for the help
PS: Just asking for want I'm seeing about shouts and dragon magic it looks like you have to play a hybrid.
Not exactly. There is definitly an advantage to being at least a partial caster but their are replacement mechanics for just about every form of magic. For example ranged combat can be replaced with the bow. Healing magic and buffing magic can be replaced with potions.
As for the shouts, thats actually an innate ability you gain the "chosen one" story portion of the game, but its not part of the magic system. It doesnt use mana or any other part of the magic mechanic, so you can be a heavily armored mele warrior and be as good at your shouts as a mage or a hybrid.
As for how easy it is to be a full warrior compared to a hybrid or a mage its tough to say at this point, I haven't played the game enough to have something to compare it to. But my impression of the game is that you can be very effective in just about anything if you focus is on it. Its very much a skill based game so I'm pretty certain you can be a full warrior and be successful in the game. I personally went full warrior and I use potions to buff and heal with, which has worked out just fine for me.
