can you "walk" around in the render window?

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:56 pm

Is there a way to simulate walking around in the render window without loading up the game? I am really just looking for an easy way to move the camera around using regular game type controls that places you near the ground and keeps you there like it does in game. It would make it so much easier at times to move around like this to check perspective and what not.

I don't believe so.

This details all controls: http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Creation_Kit_Interface#Navigating_the_Render_Window

Yeah, they're terrible and I'd like them to work like the game controls with "tcl" enabled. I want to make the FOV higher too. Tell me if you find out how to do either.

There's no way to see it as the player will in game other than going through the looking glass. I'm not seeing anything allowing for FOV adjustment in the render window either. Keep in mind you can also use the spacebar to pan the camera around just like wheel-click.

The sort answer is no. You get used to the controls and moving around in the CK, but it takes some practice. I find myself jumping a lot in the game now. If you don't know what I mean now, you will if you use the CK enough. :)

actually, you could do so in geck (assuming extremely high ctd-tolerance that is :-)), no idea what happened to this functionality in ck (in geck, iirc you hit # to get that mode)
