So i got to this part of a quest where if i continue, i have to eat human flesh. I know i get a Daedric Artifact for doing this (counts towards the 15 Daedric Artifacts Achievements), so i'd rather not miss out on it. Is there any downsides to being a cannibal? Do i need to feast on humans regularly? If so, i'm saving this quest for a while longer.

As far as I can tell there are no downsides. Once you get the ring you have to equip it to feed on corpses I believe.

I do know if you attack and kill the coven (Taking care not to kill the sacrifice in the ensuing melee), you get 750 Gold.

The Ring itself adds 50 stamina and eating human flesh increases health and stamina regeneration.
