Cannot Adjust Hair Length

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:59 am

So most of us have seen the character creation process before but did you notice there was no slider for either haircuts or facial hair? I used to look at the presets and imagine changing that http://i44.tinypic.com/64nr81.jpg into to a short, nice looking style and increasing the size of those more or less http://i40.tinypic.com/1i0bkm.jpg. I love how they've given us a lot more options but I feel like taking away this much loved slider almost defeats the purpose. It will be weird encountering NPCs with the exact same hair as your character.

Thoughts?

They took out sliders and went with presets for hair, facial hair, and everything else to make all character possibilities look good. I like the change a lot... as for finding and NPC with the same hair or beard... doesnt bother me. No one person has ever had a hair style so unique that no one has has the same hair (other than Donald Trump, of course).

The new characters look utterly awesome though, if they had to take out the sliders to make it happen then it was well worth it, and theres still tons of options for each setting.

That's like not giving us the option for freckles. You can have dirt all over your face, warpaint and scars, makeup and stuff like that, and have different color settings for all of it, but they forgot the damned freckles.

Hum new characters, looks good but not really OMG.
Some stuff like hair lenght, beard lenght would have been good to be left.
I m not sure thoguht if this is a 360 limitation or not.
PC version has 3 giga more.

But anyway you stay 99% of the game first person or looking at character ass, so the look of its face isn t really that important.

Not all of us. almost the opposite for me actually. I'm fine with the stepup myself.

You play 90% of the game looking at your character face? Must be hard to fight ennemies and you must fall off from a lot of places...

It a zen thing.

LOL I just meant third person, obviously. I do spin the view around a lot though.

You have a point about the percentage of game NOT looking at your characters face...but its the principal of the thing. I can't help but KNOW my character is lacking this or that detail in appearance.
It matters.
Whatever, Skyrim is going to be amazing! Absolutely ultrasupermegaawesome!
I can't wait!!!

What is RGB?

Okay, it's Red/green/blut sliders. No I didn't see them but not really sure if they are in the game

Maybe there's a chance the leaked footage was still beta or something, and the sliders will be added in the final, real final version of the game?

I know I know, not that important, but I was hoping to make a really long beard for my character, to look like Gandalf or some other epic mage.

If the average man never shaved his beard, his facial hair would extend over 30 feet.
