I received a quest (I don't remember from where) that requires me to enter Bleak Falls Barrow and find e Chronicles of Nchuleft. I completed the dungeon and found the book in the chest. It is in my inventory, but it still says I need to find it. The quest never completed. I have no clue where to hand it in, or how to complete this. Is this a bug? Why might the game not recognize it as completed? Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have this exact same bug with a little bit different circumstances. I got the book from High Gate Ruins from the chest after the boss of the area, and much much later I got the quest to get the book, I already have it but the quest behaved as though I didn't (couldn't turn it in and told me to go back to where I got it and get it again.) I went back to the ruins to get it again, it wasn't there. Also after the High Gate Ruins had reset its loot/enemies, the gates behind the boss (Vokun) would not open because they seem to trigger on his death yet I already killed him the first time around so he's no longer there, yet the doors reset to closed status when the dungeon did. Oh, in case it's relevant, I got the quest from the orc in the library at the college in winterhold. It's the first major quest bug I've run into but it's kind of annoying because now I have this book sitting in my inventory that I can never take out because it's a quest item.
