cant get out of windowed mode

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 2:47 pm

Just bought the game this morning and i cant get it to play in fullscreen or anything bigger than 1/4 of my monitor, Ive tried changing the skyrimprefs.ini b fullscreen to 1, is that the correct one if so i did nothing for me. It also seems like the video options reset every time the launcher comes up.

I got
ati 5850
i5 @2.67
win 7 64x

Also i know there is a window mode check box in the options menu that does nothing for me, even if i change the settings click ok, then go back to the options they will all be reset to default it seems, and every time i get to the launcher screen i get a video setting will be set accordingly box that pops up then i t says to high settings.

Well this forums no help, but i did mess around with the missing ini file, had to get permissions to change stuff in the users dir and copied the ini from the steam dir to it. Now everything seems to work fine for now saves/setting and all.

Yeah, the point of windowed mode should be that you can move your mouse out of the window when in menus or paused. As it stands now this is not possible (for me at least) Pretty sad =/

Press alt + enter to enter fullscreen mode. That's the shortcut for all Windows applications.

This flat out doesn't work for me =/
alt+enter does diddly squat, both in windowed and in fullscreen mode.

If you've installed Steam to Program Files then you will probably have to configure the game to run as an Administrator.
