Cant marry Taarie, help! >.<

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Taarie

According to that she is supposed to be marriagable.

And according to the wiki, using the command "setrelationshiprank player 4" is supposed to fix the bug, it doesent.

Anyone managed to marry her?

Thats the problem. I did her quest and she now has no other talking options. Wiki even says she is bugged, but the fix they provided doesent work either.

Maybe there is a quest involving her... hmm....

This svcks cause she is the only marriagable high elf. My proud altmer would never breed with lesser races so this is ruining the game for me kinda.

Did you set her to be in the marriage faction first? That's the problem with Lydia.

It doesn't matter what there relationship is with you if they are not in the marriage faction anyway (by design or bug).

Using the amulet? It's a stupid question, I know. But sometimes we just forget.

Using it yes.

Marriage faction? How do I add her to that?

Also - are you guys sure these are supposed to be marriagable? (Lydia and Taarie and more...)

Could be they werent intended to be marriagable?

No no, she is marriageable. She has dialogue for it. The quest you need to run is the one where she asks you to wear her fancy clothes for the Jarl. Try the "setrelationshiprank 4" command again after you do that quest.

EDIT: If running her quest+first command doesn't work, this is the command to force her into the marriage faction: "addfac 19809 1"

"addfac 19809 1"

"setrelationshiprank player 4"

Tried both. I did complete her quest to wear the clothes. Typical that the ONE npc I had planned to marry is bugged. Hoping the first major patch will fix it unless there is another solution? :/

Edit: Could it be some trick to it like having to talk to he at a particular time of day?

"Player" just indicates the target of "setrelationshiprank."

What I would do is

  • Make sure you have the right sister.
  • Double check that the amulet is equipped.
  • Make sure that you're targeting the correct thing when you input the console commands
  • Make sure your console commands aren't 'kicking back' invalid responses.
  • Trial and error. The console commands work, so checking another NPC to see if you get the same results will help you determine where the source of the error lies.
