I cannot see fire, when casting spells or in fire places, also I cant see the effect of the spell, that is supposed to guide you to your objective. This is annoying to say the least... Help?

PS. I was doing the quest, where you have to free this guys brother from captivity. As I arrived to the meeting location with my companion, she started to attack this guy for some reason and now I cannot finish the quest. More than an hour of time wasted down the drain... (Please fix it)
