Okay, so I found a glitch in Fallout New Vegas that can get you slow caps if you're desperate.

When you get to Freeside, go to the Atomic Wrangler and ask James Garret for work. He will tell you to recruit a suave talker, a cowboy ghoul, and a sixbot, starting the quest Wang Dang Atomic Tango. Once you get the sixbot to go to Atomic Wrangler, go back to the Atomic Wrangler. Talk to the sixbot, and say no to his services. You will automatically recieve ten bottle caps, and this can be repeated as many times as you like.

This worked for me, but I'm not sure if it will work for anyone else, or if there's other prerequisites needed to perform this glitch.

I prefer the Vikki and Vance caps trick. It's quick and largely efficient.
