The game runs perfectly, no FPS problems, mouse lags a bit but not to an atrociously noticeable level but...

I can't get past the carriage ride. The Nord looks at me after looking away and after the deer runs off to the left of the carriage and stares at me for the entire ride. We arrive wherever we arrive and the game sits there, no dialogue, no character creation - nothing.

I've revalidated my files through steam and done everything short of deleting the game and reinstalling. What gives?

Wipe and reinstall. Odd. Very odd.

I have the same problem here but I also have no sound. Do you at least have sound?

Ive reinstalled everything but windows.

Please list you GPU, Sound Card, OS, etc.

I have sounds: music, birds, etc.

I just finished re-downloading the game, I'll post/edit whatever my results are.

Game works now
