Carrying capacity buff does nothing for followers

No idea if this is by design or not.

The armor enchant "Increase Carry Weight" does not allow your followers to actually carry more weight. I'm not so sure if any armor enchants give your followers any buffs, like say a stamina + 10 amulet of Kynareth.

- Gave Mjoll the Lioness a bunch of dragon bones until she wouldn't accept any more (weight 15 each).

- Gave her Orcish Boots of Strength which increase carrying capacity by 35.

- Could not give her any more dragon bones, even though she should be able to hold 3 more.

Searched a bit, but couldn't find much info about armor stats and followers. Do armor enchants work on them or no?

Anyone know if the recent patch fixed this?

I can't test it out now, but if I get no response then I'll test it again later tonight.

It's probably still broken, but may as well get this issue known.

-btw this is only for the PS3 version, the PC version appears to be working properly.

Tested again and the carry weight enchant still does nothing. Oh well, they've got bigger problems at the moment.

Followers actually have infinite carry weight (and always have - not a new-patch issue). The only threshold they apply is that they will not accept equipment *from you* if that would put them over 300 lbs carried. And apparently (and unsurprisingly) they don't adjust that threshold with +CarryWeight gear (becuse the threshold isn't actually their carry weight, it's just what they'll accept from you).

You want to see that there's no carry weight limit for followers? Put 1000 lbs of stuff in a chest, and order your follower to loot the chest. Afterwards you'll have a follower carryng 1000 lbs of gear and not moving any slower as a result.

Yep tried that. The vast majority of stuff the follower picked up turned into stolen goods, rendering them useless (to me at least). Also, that's sort of exploiting a known flaw, which I'm trying to avoid.

The PC version was tested by someone else and they noted that gear with these types of enchantments works properly. So, in the PC version there is a carry weight limit (albeit you can exploit it as you stated) and that means there should be one in the PS3 version.
