Castle Voilkar is...twisted...

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 1:18 am

I just started to do the Vampire Dawnguard questline and Castle voilkar is....twisted. The darkly beautiful cathedral, with its beautiful blood fountain and lighting...the vampires who gleefully drink gluttonously the blood of drugged up, unwillingly victims, who moan in confusion. Harkon's large room, filled with a small torture chamber, equipped with knives to "wood cutter axes" . The death hounds as they stalk the halls. The creepy coffins. The human body parts. And the chilling music...*Shivers*
Man Beth did a good job.

It is twisted to those who aren't vampires(ingame) or people who were raised to perceive such things as twisted.

As a Dawngaurd I find the place to be one of those somber but beautiful places...right up until the dead bodies and blood, then I am reminded why am there and go back to stabbing the vamps lol. But yes it is a pretty creepy place.

I love it. I just wish I could hang upside-down from the ceiling while in my Vampire Lord form.

I also kinda wish they had put in some sort of "mission" function. Kinda like the one in Assassin's Creed. I'd love to sit at my desk in Harkon's old chambers and be able to direct a small force of Vampires on self-completing missions. Some within Skyrim, some inside other provinces. That would be fun, and would make me feel LIKE A BOSS. Successful missions could bring back fresh cattle, gold, items and other loots...or perhaps bring fresh-meat into the fold.

/agree while my vampire enjoys all her castles (Deus Mons, Vjarkell, and The Dark Tower) Castle Volkihar is just as enjoyable

That's why I love it. I still wish I could really upgrade that castle.

So more or less every culture in existance at the moment, then. Except the odd blood drinking, insane African dictator.

No not just dictators either - there are plenty of isolated African tribes that regularly drink sheep and cow blood. Perhaps they will one day contract Sanguinare vampiris. (I dont care what google says I SPELT THAT RIGHT)
