I do not have this DLC yet, I have to wait until payday. How are the customizable castles? Do you get any new purchasable housing?

no customization. no purchasable houses.
you get fort dawnguard or castle volkihar as a player home.

Nuts. I thought they said you could customize/tweek them in the interviews. Are the containers at least safe?

from what I read most castle volkihar containers are safe,not sure about the dawnguard one.

They never specifically said that. But thanks to modern journalism, they reported speculation as factual evidence.

The only safe places to store stuff in either fort are in your bedroom (the one you get after you complete DGMQ) are the wardrobes, chests, and bookshelves, and manniquens.

I never saw a "bedroom", doing the dawnguard side?

I completed the main quest, killed the vampre lord hark whatever, got florentis whatever to join up, etc. I never saw a "bedroom" that was mine?

Nor did I ever see mannequins appear in the dawnguard castle? Did I miss something?

All I can do now are the radiant repeat quests, from florentis/gunmar.

Wish the DLC added a purchasable castle. With 1 million plus gold, it would be nice.

1 million gold castle? Uh, no thanks. I only got half that. Most of my friends struggled to break 100 thousand. I'd be fine with a Battlehorn Castle Type thing that would require a 50,000 down payment along with purchasable upgrades, but a million. No.


Also, the mannequin is placed in your room in Fort Dawnguard if you sided with them. Its on the second floor. As for Castle Volkihar, I don't know.

i believe he was referring to him having 1mil to splurge. but either way, a 100k or so for a very nice upgradeable home would be nice.

I wish I had something to spend all this coin on.
