1.1 causing problems not in 1.0. How to stop autoupdating?

Post » Mon Apr 19, 2010 10:18 pm

The reason I say this is because a family member ended up buying the game and was able to play fine (ignoring the SLI/Crossfire issue). When getting the patch, several issues were noticed soon after. For example, using the melee button would glitch at times and you couldn't use it (when it worked without the patch). In fact, I have a sneaking suspicion that it might actually be causing the problem with picking up nano catalyst (not sure yet).

Unfortunately, after reverting back to 1.0, the game will not start because the game tries to update automatically. Is there a way to stop this and start the game?

Surely someone knows? I think the patch is causing more issues than solutions (at least in single player anyway).

Interesting. That's kind of why I want to know if the issues people are having get resolved by not using the patch. I believe not enough testing was done for it.
