Changing Apperance?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 11:41 am

I havent played previous T.E.S before, just wondering if anyone knows if we can change our apperance after the initial customization. Say i wanted to change my hair, or the amount of dirt on my face?

You couldn't in previous elder scrolls games, and im not 100% certain, but I highly doubt you will be able to in skyrim, unless your on pc of course and can use consol commands.

They already said, no to it. You can only tinker with your looks at character creation, then it is final.

However I'm REALLY hoping there's a good quick mod out soon after release that adds that in.

You could in Oblivion right before you went out into the world. Not sure 'bout Morrowind as its been a long time since i played it.

After the original character creation there is no other time where you can change anything... and this includes at the end of the intro before you enter the open world.

In Fallout 3 there was an option to change your character's appearance after leaving the Vault.

There was this guy on a boat who'd do it for you calling it facial reconstruction surgery. So hopefully yeah.

It's confirmed that there is no changing your characters aesthetics after the initial creation.

@summer, I thought the wording was more strong than that, but I can't remember the source. Anyways, I still have hopes.... they want to say you can't change appearance, because PS3 and 360 players don't have the console. But I still have hopes for some console commands.

I don't get why Bethesda wouldn't allow you to. They had it in Fallout 3, it's like going to a barber shop. Is getting a hair cut too much to ask for?

I got this from the USEP website

Unlike in Oblivion, you will not get a second chance to edit your character at the end of the tutorial.

Does anyone know if you can make necklaces or have necklaces? i wanna have a bunch of skulls around my neck if i play orc.

When they confirmed you couldnt alter your hair (or make your character look older) mid-way through the game was the most disappointing thing I've heared about Skyrim so far.

I really hope they FIX this with DLC.

I like my characters to change hairstyles and 'age' as they get stronger and wiser. I'll start of with a 'clean' civilized Nord from Cyrodiil and I'm hoping Bethesda adds a barbershop via DLC so I can adapt to the local culture later on.

Bethesda if you read this, ADD A BARBERSHOP DLC...I'm ashamed to say, but I would pay 10 euros for this... This is really the only thing for which I envy PC gamers and their mods.

I'm surprised that Bethesda did not add a changing appearance feature in the game. Perhaps not one you can control, i.e. facial features, but one you influence. Maybe riding on horseback or fast traveling + eating too much results in your character putting on a few pounds. Or the other way around, becoming more muscular.
