Changing controller bindings after the 1.2 patch breaks menu

Hey Everyone,
I'm going to format this so the you AND the devs team can read what you need quickly.

My Personal Appreciation of Bethesda and the QA team who tested this massive game:
I normally don't post on forums, but I felt that this needed to be relayed to the devs. I'm sure the QA team did a fine job and they probably already know about this issue BUT if not, here it is.
I use a 360 controller to play the PC copy of Skyrim. I know that people will start saying stuff like "True Gamers... blah blah blah" but hey, it allows me to sit on my couch and play Skyrim on my large TV, end of discussion.
I tend to not like the default setup for the controller. Bethesda realizes that not all people like their controls so they allow customization. This is fantastic. Thank you Bethesda.

The Bug:
If you are using the 360 controller and you bind the keys in this way, you lose a lot of menu controls and can become difficult to navigate the menus. It can even mess up the controls in such a way that you will not be able to properly select/back out of menu items.
Another thing to note is that after changing the controls to the following setup the buttons in the menus don't dynamically update to the buttons you changed so they no longer help.
( A ) - Jump
( B ) - Activate <--- This is the key button to experience these problems
( X ) - Sheath Weapon
( Y ) - Character Menu

My Request
Please set the controls to the above mentioned setup and attempt to navigate the menu system. It makes sense in the game (setup is pretty common for other games) but not in the menus.
Prior to the patch, the menus were navigable by ( A ) - Select and ( B ) - Back out, it was simple and pretty much a common navigation system for most games.
Is it possible to change the menu controls back to the old bindings but keep the customized bindings for gameplay? Navigating the menus after changing the bindings is very difficult.

Notes:
My wife and I both play this on the same computer and she immediately got frustrated when she thought I changed the controls AGAIN. When really it was just the menu system changed after the 1.2 patch.
I know the game was most likely tested thoroughly and I don't blame QA. Please anyone who responds or comments on this issue don't start yelling at the devs or QA, it doesn't help.

One last bug about rebinding the controls:
This was pre 1.2 patch, but this also occurred in Fallout New Vegas for me on the 360.
In Skyrim binding Activate to the ( B ) button would not allow you to tell your follower to perform an action because ( B ) was the command button but ALSO the "back out" button. This no longer occurs post 1.2 THANKS!
In Fallout: New Vegas the same thing would happen when you attempted to hack a computer terminal. The terminal would activate and back out at the same time. Cause a graphic issue on the 360, workaround for that was to hold down the ( B ) button until i selected a menu item or potential password.

I appreciate your time, please bump this thread. It's not yelling about the game crashing, it's not that serious of an issue, but I do care, and I know what I'm talking about. (sorry about the huge post, but hey at least I was polite  ) Feel free to PM me.

Thanks, i'll give that a shot. hopefully something more official can be done but this can hold me over. I appreciate it.

**EDIT**
So the 'unofficial' patch worked in the sense that it reverted the controls to pre 1.2 patch controls. However the patch did fix the companion tasking issue... so still waiting to see if they'll combine both fixes.
