PC user here.

I tried changing FOV in Skyrim's .ini file, but I was unable to do so (I tested it with a bigger-than-normal value to make absolutely sure).

So, my first instinct was just to change it manually in the console. By doing so, I realized after two hours of play that I wasn't getting any Steam achievements. Why the hell do I have to make this compromise? Changing the FOV isn't cheating.
