Changing gender animations

I downloaded a mod called Housecarl Sandbox Fix, which, apart from doing other nifty things, unticked the "use opposing gender animations" box on Lydia, Iona and Jordis. That makes them walk like most women, rather than like macho men. The mod also makes them walk around their respective towns with a routine, so you see them walking around a lot. It's a really nice effect, and I love that mod. However, the animation change only works when I load the mod before the housecarl is spawned during the Thane quests. Loading the mod onto my older savegame doesn't have any effect on the three girls (all the other things in the mod work, it's just the normal gender animations which don't). Instead of gliding down the streets of Whiterun like a sultry model on a catwalk, Lydia struts down with all the grace of a nightclub bouncer, as if the armour was chafing her armpits. I tried disabling and enabling her, and resurrecting her, but neither worked - she still uses the "opposing gender animations". Is there any way to make the mod work retrospectively on existing loaded NPCs, or is there another way to do it? It's not a big deal, but the three girls look infinitely better with shoulders swaying femininely rather than biceps sticking out.
