So, what game do you feel has/had the best layout scheme for character creation? Also, what do you look for in a character creation setup and layout?

I find it to be rather tough call between Star Wars Galaxies and Skyrim. Skyrim has a lot of cool options, but some feel a little static compared to the slider option from Star Wars Galaxies. Champions Online seems to be the only game to come close to the sheer amount of customization like Galaxies.

Guild Wars 2's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gh9gV7L9Qgw process is my favorite so far. Skyrim did have a lot of options, but I think Oblivion had even more IMO.

In terms of depth, Darklands. Best for appearance customization, probably one of the Soul Calibur games.
