I have played many MMOs in the past, and when it comes to character creation, one flaw they all have is character height. You'll be given a slider that lets you pick how short or tall your character is, but it's completely useless because you have no way of seeing how that height compares to the game world.

More than once I've made a character that looks about average height in the character creations screen only to find out that my character towers over all the NPCs in the game, or in the reverse, they're absolutely tiny compared to everything else.

So when it comes to TES:O, all I ask is some sort of visable scale to compare our character's height against. Something that shows how tall or short we are compared to the tallest and shorest options for the other races in the game, or against the height of the average NPC. Something that lets me know what my character's going to look like out in the game world and not just in the creator.

Without showing a shadow-image of the other races, or somehow letting you know what their height ranges are and then displaying a numerical height for your character, I don't see how this is possible.

That said, I can understand where you're coming from ---- in Guild Wars 2, I made a nice looking character, a little on the short side... but it turns out the race is a race of nearly-giants... and my 'short' character TOWERED over a character from another race. I'm talking, the head of the other character came up to my mid-thigh! And I had wondered why it felt like the run speed was so slow on that character compared to my yoda-sized character, who felt like a blaze.... length of stride.

I'd agree with this. Many times I have created a character then deleted it because it was overly large or too small.
