My character thus far

Why do you guys play these sandbox games? For me... It's obviously the story that creates immersion but aside from that I love acquiring vast amounts of plunder and neatly organizing them into my house.

I consider myself an efficient player. As in I'm never idling around but instead getting something done in game. I would say that less then one percent of my playtime has been afk or restroom breaks or something else along those lines. When I stumble on a location on the map I enter it, clear it, and make sure I check every room for treasures etc. I fast travel every chance I get unless the target location is in an unmarked area on my map in which case I find the nearby sights and flag them for future en devours. I don't use console commands and I try not to use the internet. I read that console commands disable steam achievements so that's a deal-breaker for me. I think I used the wiki to look up a couple or so things because I was stumped like those stones of barenziah clogging up my inventory. I haven't used mods either because I save those for the second/third playthrough to breath fresh life into the game. So all in all, getting this far feels like an accomplishment.

I started the game as one hand/block/heavy armor and went into smithing/bow/speech soon after. By the the mid 40s my leveling rate dramatically slowed down since most of my main skills were maxed so I went into two hander other meaningful secondary skills. This is my first and only character on skyrim but having played previous bethesda titles like oblivion I had a fairly good idea of how to plan ahead. So for like 100 hours of played time I made sure to buy out the entire stock of shops of alchemy ingredients... And it wasn't enough. The alchemy in this game took me 900 lbs of carry weight worth of just ingredients to get to 100. But enchanting/smithing was fast so I guess they cancel each other out.

What I don't get is my stats page says I have aquired 1.5 million coins worth but I only have 100k on me right now. My storage chests have hundreds of thousands of coin worth of ingots/flawless gems but selling them all would take forever because yet again they put a senseless money cap on every single merchent in the game. With maxed out speech and the perks the most a vendor can have is 2.5k....I'm all for limiting vendors, the ones located in the boonies or something, but their should be at least one vendor in the game that has no limit or a high limit.

So ya, how old is everyone elses dragonborn? Anyone else have a neatly organized house with a vast amount of precious materials? Just wanted to create this thread for those of us who are clearly having the time of our lives with this game.

Please refrain from posting vitriol on this thread because their are countless other threads on the first page that you can use as a podium. I'm well aware of the problems with the various magic schools and believe me you haven't seen problems until you try to level up 5 schools in the low 20s while level 71.

The roleplay for my character is setup in phases pretty much like yourself. Started out as a redguard witchdoctor, primary skills conjuration, restoration, blade, block, archery, forsworn armor for a brief description. After plundering ruins and living in the wild for much of my young life, I found my way into riften and was introduced into society stealing for a living and eventually purchasing a home and becoming a citizen.
my thirst for the wilderness calls and i plan journeys to different parts of the world, the discovery of destruction magic proved to be a Spectacle of knowledge and have set a greater goal to become a powerful destruction master, all this while enjoying seared slaughterfish on my porch in riften onthe weekends not to mention that crazy party i had with Marcurio, ( many people were harmed/many souls were collected) currently not facing any charges for necromancy
Only on lvl 25 still in my youth/still a practicing witchdoctor..
