Hello, I have a question and an idea about making your character unique that I would like to know everyones opinion.

First the question:
What is there in the game to make your character diferent from everyone else? In both the Elder Scrolls games and many MMO's, in the end of the game, everyone goes around with the same weapons and armor. Like in Skyrim you always try to evolve your weapons (from iron to steel, etc)...

My idea was, you could have the apearence of the weapon with the stats of the weapon your making. For example, you're making a ebony sword but want it to look like a steel one, so you make an ebony sword and add a few steel ingots and you get a steel sword with the stats of the ebony blade. But could only be made by players with a very high smithing skill (this would make it rare and give another reason to build a crafting character).

I have been watching the videos that exist about the game and reading a few posts in this forum for a while but haven′t seen anything that ansewrs my question...
