child care

You don't need child care when they marked Essential

It would be nice to be able to add a Nanny to the house.

I would like to add some guards to my house! :)

Didn't really think about this before, but once one of my characters adopted, I realized that child can't be left alone! Not with bandits and dragons about! So, who do I leave for child care when I go dungeon delving?

Well, for now I have to leave Lydia behind. Yeah, she's a great fighter, but right now, I just need her to be a nanny.

Who do you use for babysitting? Or do you?

Save up and build your own house. Your steward will take care of them. Or just marry, not naturally for a child to grow up with out a mother, or father, or whatever you are...

Hehe, we too have that problem, and we don't even have a housecarl or steward. For now, half of my team just stays home. But if we ever need to do harder job that needs whole team out, we can always ask our Khajiit neighbors from Pinewatch to watch over Ma'isha while we are gone

When I first downloaded Hearthfire and adopted Lucia, she stayed at Breezehome by herself for days at a time (like an idiot I made Lydia my Steward at LVM, so...). Someone should have called fake CPS on me, I suppose, but she seemed to have been thriving in that environment (I'm betting that a social worker would have probably been pretty judgmental about her preference to run around in her skivvies regardless of social setting, temperature, time of day, etc.).

I just spawned a pair of Imperial mages at the four corners of my McMansion in the Pale. With Lydia (steward) as a last line of defense at the doorway it's a pretty safe homestead. About every third time I fast travel home the mages are lighting some giant/wolf/sabre cat on fire and running it off the property.

I've also taken to spawning Imp/Stormcloak mages at the front gates of all the cities and towns to help take down those invading vampires before they kill off half the population.

If there were CPS in Skyrim, I doubt there'd have been a little girl sleeping in the street to begin with. And I expect they'd have put Grelod in the Riften dungeon.

Chaurus are creepy critters and I don't want them around the house. I do have some batch files for quickly spawning various creatues/npcs that I use for fun and mayhem. I like to go into Dragonsreach or the Blue Palace sometimes and spawn a mob of falmer, briarhearts, stormcloaks, thalmor, chaurus reapers and sabre cats for some hilarious free-for-alls. I go ethereal and stand in the corner watching as bodies go flying every which way and even Elisif will pull her dagger and go apesh!t. It's funny as hell.

My current character never considered Sofie as someone who needs guidance or protection. On the contrary, he hired her as housekeeper/lab-assistant, for room and board and an occasional pad on the head.

She was disciplined and self-reliant enough to make an honorable living, despite being recently orphaned. Running a three person household seemed well within her capabilities. She also knew enough about local plants, and where to get them, to keep his alchemy laboratory stocked. Best of all, she was inexperienced, desperately poor, and equally desperate for any kind of positive attention and approval, so he did not have to pay her a single septim.

Wait what? I can 'grow' a chaurus? LOL Oh with the mod! COOL - you did that mod? I admire modders! I've been playing TES games forever, but never tried my hand on modding! LOL

What a cool mod! I have to check it out :)
