Hi. I am currently attempting to locate mods for Skyrim that make the game more appropriate for Christian audiences and family. Does anyone know if any of the following exist in mod form or are planned to be made?

1) Mod to remove sixual innuendo in dialogue and references to prostitution
2) Mod to remove immodest clothing and partial nudity (male and female)
3) Mod to restrict marriage options available in game
4) Mod to remove positive references to demons and demonic influence in game
5) Mod to remove profane dialogue in game.

I enjoy this game very much but was shocked at certain aspects about it that I learned through research.

I highly doubt any of these mods will be made, but also know that the game has a lot of gore. If your wanting a Christian friendly game, Skyrim, or Elder Scrolls, is not the series to look in.
I assume this is for your child or something? If so, I would recommend buying a Gamecube or Wii, and buying Legend of Zelda. It has references to other gods, who made the world and all, but at the same time, Skyrim has dozens of gods

If you really want to play Skyrim without all that, then your only real chance is modding it yourself. Once the Creation Kit comes out in January, most of these changes will be fairly easy to make.

I won't get on my high horse about "Christian friendly," but I will say that a lot of these things make the game what it is. Some of the things (modesty mod for one) will likely be done. Others probably won't though. Like was said before, best bet for much of this is to clean it up yourself when the CK comes out.

Please note that I am still willing to play the game even with the negative aspects, it's just that the enjoyment of my experience would increased if they were dealt with in some manner.

Indeed. I doubt that 'demon' references will ever be taken out, considering thats basically killing all the Daedra. And the books....
But for a short fix, he could just change all the spawns from the Daedric monsters to other creatures.

edit: @SavedByTheLight, If your willing to play it, I suggest you do. Most of the stuff your looking at, isnt all the noticeable to me. I mean, Demons? Thats PART of being a Christian, to fight demons. Marriage is a completely optional part of the game, and 100% avoidable. Standards of "modesty" are an opinion to an extent. Dialogue is the biggest thing I would worry about if i were you. But if your trying to avoid swear words, you may as well stop playing video games. 90% of them have it.

Well to be honest i think what your looking for, especially the positive references to the daedra, would have to take a major overhaul. Albeit most of the daedra are twisted and evil some of them are seen as chaotic neutral.

1) wouldnt be to hard you would just have to no what npc's suggest it and alter their dialog
2) may eventually happen but its going to be more likely to see mods go in the other direction.
3) not sure how the marriage systems are handled but i assume you mean same six and cross species being modded out. With time may happen
4) as I said would probably take a major overhaul since most of the various cultural lore surrounding the daedra doesnt see them all as straight up evil, look at the Dunmer.
5) Wouldnt be too hard but youd have to scour through all the dialog and just alter it. But from what i've seen there isnt as much language issues as i've seen in other games.

If you dont mind me asking why would you want do undertake such a project as you've laid out before us? I understand your Christian and probably from a branch with strict moral conduct, but I am wondering if there is something more to this. Is it for your kids? For friends? Just wondering.

Really though, as a Christian, I will say that you are not likely to find much help getting all that cleared up, and are probably more likely to be flamed here than helped. You really do need to consider the nature of the game you are trying to play as you're looking to remove some core elements there (Aedra/Daedra and all). I would suggest looking elsewhere for your gaming fix, and I say that with a bit of sadness because these games are a lot of fun. If those are things that really bother you though, I don't think you're going to be safe here.

The Daedra Lords are hard to avoid. Molag Bal is one that comes to mind that is particularly annoying if you don't want to do daedra quests. I have a request about being able to decline quests in my Free Form Play thread.

I'm a Christian, and none of these things offends me, but I can tell the difference between a game and real life. Too many "Christians" I've met can't. Maybe your proposed audience isn't intelligent enough to be exposed to radical ideas like men and women having six.

actually...its not even within our universe...not our god/s, has nothing to do with our world and how it was created, so demons do not exist, nor does the god of christianity.
tes can be played by peoples of all faiths, you just have to respect that its a different universe.
