Christmassy songs

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 11:32 am

What are some (non caroll) songs that just fill you with christmas cheer?

For me this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGy0QRXvjgU makes me feel like giving presents and getting involves in the christmas spirit
And this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_5hQ8cEE7Q
and also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1hcc1QvM2Q

Don't judge me, I listen to as much rock as the next guy for most of the year,

Honest

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1-sXrdQtog song isn't great by any means, but it's just so cheesy and cheerful with all its synthy goodness that I just can't help but get a smile on my face when I hear it.

I just like the song. Its great when people send you a video of something supposedly cool and it turns out to be this - then they're like "Haha you just got rickRolled lololol", and I'm just like "I love this song - thank you!" and they're all like "Noo blow back ahhhh!!"

Not sure which you guys are referring to as I'm not going to click through to all the nameless URLs. But of carols, I like the ones that sound "minor" (not sure if they really are, ignorant about music) like "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" and "O Come All Ye Faithful". Of modern ones I also love "Last Christmas" due to nostalgia and the video.

Basically just modern christmas songs (i.e. not christmas carols)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6YbLZf8i5I. To me, these guys have been the sound of Christmas for nearly 40 years. I'll never get tired of listening to that song (really!)

Cartman's rendition of Oh Holy Night. He's just so earnest! And of course, Christmas just isn't Cristmas without a Swiss Colony Beef Log!

Ya...that South Park CD gets some good playtime around now :)

Slade, lol. That's the stuff. Here is one you guys might not know, a song called "How To Make Gravy" by Aussie muso Paul Kelly, which is like a letter a guy writes from prison to his brother just before Christmas, that's full of sweet regret and pain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb4YWJgfmQE
