Churning dragon skeleton at whiterun gate

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 10:08 pm

Ok, so I walk out of Whiterun, feeling all cool with myself cuz I got made a Thane after killing my first dragon, and suddenly the dragon's skeleton falls very slowly out of the sky to the ground at the town gate. I killed this dragon by the western watchtower, or whatever the heck it's called, so it shouldn't be here, alighting gently. it does not block my path, but its name appears when I get close to it. I leave the area, come back from a quest and it's still laying there, but it doesn't move when I'm coming towards the gate. But every time I leave town it's quite active, doing very odd things, like churning halfway in the ground plane, like meat being turned too fast on a rotisserie. One time it arose out of the floor head-first, mouth opening and closing and head lulling limply. Sometimes I just like to watch it for a while.
Anyway, I figured I'd just mention it on the forum since I haven't seen anyone else talk about it. I don't know if I have any problems with it per se. Actually, I'm kinda likin' it. But it is a glitch.

What IS annoying is the arrow I have permanently stuck in my shoulder, but I have a few things to try after reading other posts about that.

So, anyone else having this issue?

I also have him waiting by the gate, as does my friend Ruben.
I never thought much of it, for the same reasons; it's pretty cool and not really game breaking.
....wait a second. Is this one of the glitches that Beth kept in the game, "because it's cool"?
Possibly....anyways, yes it exists, and I'm just here as witness, kinda.

Ah, good to know I'm not the only one receiving these visits. It's kind of like a weird, passive-aggressive vengeance or haunting from a creature that fell to my sword....I hadn't thought about the glitch being left in on purpose!
