Alright, so I live in a little town called Mchenry, it is in Illinois, and is in no way even close to the population that other big cities have which range to millions. Even so, I have been hearing a rumor from people in my school that my town has the most preorders in the world. Now, I was not willing to jump the gun on this whole rumor, so I went to my local Game Stop and the guy working there told me we do in fact have the most preorders in the world. How this is possible, I do not know. But he did say they are giving away free stuff at the midnight, bringing in a giant statue thing of dragon born (i think thats who it is) and are going to have activities to do.

One last rumor I heard...not form game stop but everything else people said jived with what the employee told me so...anyway, apparently 2 of the lead developers/ CEOs of the game are coming out to the midnight.

Holy poop.

Does anybody know of any way to confirm this? I did some google searching and found nothing.

Also, if you got to meet the CEOs / developers at a midnight release, what would you say/do with them?

i would lock them in cages and force them to develop video games for me, that else?

I think your local Gamestop dude may be a touch overenthusiastic. He couldn't possibly get preorder sales figures from UK, Australia, Japan etc. So how could he claim to have the most IN THE WORLD.

At max its per capita. So its a % thing.

But anyway i would bet at a rumour so people get interested in the game and sells increase.

Well I'm not trolling, and I'm going to bring a camera with me to the midnight to capture any and all events so you guys can hear the truth about the tail, but yes, what I am saying is true for all I know.

I mean, if I heard this stuff from random people, I wouldn't believe it, but the gamestop people have been telling us over and over that we are the number 1 preorder place in the world for skyrim and that theres going to be free stuff and the statue.

Also, I heard that the gamestop in McHenry is the second largest in Illinois, so I have no clue what to expect, I just know I may [censored] myself.

And it's the gamestop on route 31 next to the wendys and chillies right by staples and stuff.

Rumors being spread around high school... those are normally pretty reliable right?

In my city we had more preorders than MW3 and MW3 had around 900.

Apparently we are supposed to be at just over 1700 preorders.

Now I only pray that about 1/5 go to the midnight =/

But I have gone to the gamestop myself several times and they keep saying we are the number 1....
