Civil War Clean up

Post » Tue Sep 04, 2012 9:08 am

I've completed the civil war, but the Jarl in Whiterun continues to talk about it. Also, random villagers will also mentioned the annoyance of the civil war. The war has ended, I'd rather hear them talk about how upset they are the Imperials won or what have you.

Anyone else notice this issue?

They didn't have T.V. so maybe they aren't aware the war is over yet. :bunny:

It's just something Bethesda overlooked.

Technically the war isn't over, but the fighting has mostly stopped. No matter which side you supported you will have been told that the enemy is still around. Beth should still have removed the "essential" flags from camp bosses though.

the only people ive seen agknowledging the end is the blacksmiths at Windhelm [censored]ing about how I killed Ulfric, and how he was a "good man" and stuff.

This, so much this. Why aren't you given one liner radiant quests like the other factions have,'kill camp leader at [random camp]'? Why are they essential at all ? Because of the 'join the Stormcloaks/Legion' quest and nothing more. Try ruining that quest anyway with setessential off, and even if you could, bit late when the war quest-line is over. Terrible, terrible facet of the game.

This is one of the biggest annoyances in the game, and the very reason I typically don't bother getting my characters involved with the Civil War. There's not much point to it.

You can think of it as pockets of fighting still going on, as the faction leader tells you will happen.

Most dialogue does change over as far as I can see.
