"Clambering"

This was my favourite thing about Deus Ex: Invisible War, the mechanic that allowed you to climb up onto ledges you couldn't quite reach, or to a vent opening on the ceiling.

I don't know if this sort of mechanic is needed in this game, but it's a very good one.

I agree, adding the ability to pull oneself up onto ledges really goes a long way to improving first person mobility and immersion. It really makes the player feel more free within the game-world, and the game-world therefore more real.

It's called 'mantling', a mainstay of the Thief series. I think Dishonored will have it too.
