Classical Dovahkiin Challenge!

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:04 am

(Wow! Welcome to the Bethesda forums, me!)

Welcome to Skyrim, where you're the Dovahkiin!
But do you appear to be the legendary Dragonborn, whom smites the world-eater, Alduin?

The Classical Dovahkiin Challenge is a friendly challenge directed towards those looking for something fun to do after all those hours of gameplay. The goal of the challenge is to beat the main quest as the Dragonborn as seen in the trailer! There are a few rules that apply:
  • Retrieve an Iron Helmet, Studded Armor, Iron Boots and Iron Gauntlets as soon as possible
  • Improving your weapons and armor is allowed
  • Any weapon will do; one-handed with a Banded Iron Shield OR any two-handed weapon (whichever you prefer)
  • No magic! (Unless you want/need healing spells)
  • You must be a Nord, and must appear similar to the Dragonborn shown in the trailer
  • Follow the main quest! (I advise Master Difficulty for it to be a true challenge!)
  • If a courier appears with a letter from a friend, don't be afraid to go to that Word Wall
  • Learn and master all the shouts!
All ready? Geared up? Don't waste anymore time! Go slay Alduin!

Got it! Actually, in the trailer he uses no gauntlets. But let's give you some leeway!

Any weapon will do;
In the trailer, he uses a steel sword. He'd look foolish with an elven or daedric sword. But still, I guess any weapon is a bit reasonable, as long as it looks right.

I remember killing a nord random encounter that was equipped just like the guy in the trailer... and looked REALLY similar in the face. He never did shout... maybe because I killed that dragon instead of him. So much for the dragonborn......

Guess the nords will have to rely on my dunmer to save them. I think a dunmer makes more sense.... Dragons breath fire, Dunmer live around an active volcano, fire just reminds them of home.
