I was wondering about this ability the Khajiit have. When I equip a weapon, it does less damage than just using claws alone. Should I just use claws? Or will weapons do more damage as the applicable weapon skill increases?

You get better weapons later.

(But there are a few places where you will having "Brawl" as an option. Claws will be auto win for you there).

The khajiit bonus stacks with the fists of steel perk and damage bonus magic gear, it's quite possible to keep hand to hand damage competetive in the mid to late game too. The main problem I've had is that you can't hotkey unequip magic*, so if you're a magic user you won't be able to use your claws easily



* Yeah, I pointed out yet another flaw. Anyone wanna tell me this UI works?
