In Oblivion, when you drop an item in the game world, it will forever stay in the game world.

Does this occur in Skyrim?

I decided to test this. A couple or three weeks ago, I dropped all 20 or so notes I had collected from would be Assassins on to the floor of the inn at Winterhold.
I'm 100% sure that I returned to it well after the time a cell expires and resets (iHoursToRespawnCell).
However, all those notes were still on the floor of the inn. (The innkeeper must be pretty lazy not to clean them up.)

Do items dopped into the game world by the player persist in Skyrim like they did in Oblivion?

Do I need to rebuild my Clean-up (http://www.oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/24606) mod for Skyrim?
