Client Side Customization

Greetings Bethesda and Fellow TES fans,

In previous TES games there have always been options to edit vanilla assets. While I completely understand that this is an impossibility when it comes to modifying stats and other gameplay related concepts I feel that modifying vanilla meshes and textures should be permitted.

The client side operations control what meshes and textures appear while in game. Meshes and Textures are 100% client controlled. Modified vanilla meshes and textures would of course only be visibly changed on the end of the modder but still would allow the player to decide what armors and body types looked like on their own PERSONAL screen. This to me a huge deal and one of the reasons why I am such a big TES fan.

Now before anyone states that this is not possible allow me to correct you. It is entirely possible and has been proven in other MMo's before. For instance people have modified meshes in World of Warcraft and in Aion. You can google it, it has been done and has no game breaking affect as a result. Since the client controls textures and meshes it should be set up in such a way as to permit it.

Regardless of whether or not this is allowed I can guarentee you that there are plenty of modders out there like myself with enough experience to crack the game files and make these modifications. I only ask that it is made simple to do so as to save us modders some time and not require that we need decifer the application layout.

That's my two cents.

Please Bethesda, allow us to modify vanilla meshes and textures like you have in the past TES games. Doing so would definately set the stage for TESO to be more then, "Just another MMo."

Best Regards,
Nightasy
