Apple UI

If it was an Apple UI, it would be better. This is just a crappy knock-off "we don't actually understand what 'Apple UI' means" UI.

I'll let Todd off this hook for the rest of this year, since when he was going to give a lot of details about Dawnguard at GTV(???) the [censored] host kept cutting him off.

Anyway, I don't know who this person is, or even heard of epic ._.(but then again I stopped caring about this stuff when Enix merged with Square)

Todd needs to take his apple products and "streamlining" policies and shove them... Well you get it. I want the grand Elk back.

Alas TES is mainstream now, and it makes me weep.

Oh god, it's popular! It immediately svcks! Quick, my hipster friends, we must find and play a much more obscure game!

ZZT is still the best game by Epic, and Cliffy had nothing to do with that one.

Of course, what the person means is that the game is now being made to appeal to a more general audience, in difference to a more niche design that was directed to the smaller audience he was a part of

Rofl, this. Hipster mentality just blows my mind. So silly.

Don't be fooled - they probably did this to hide from the spotlight, and secretly join their forces to establish a secret development company with an ultimate goal: to break EA's hegemony and destroy everything attached to their commercialized practice. If that is the case, then Todd definiately needs to pick a side - let's hope that Skyrim was a one-time insecurity, not the change of mind state.

It's not hipster mentailty, or at least in most cases, I believe. Sacrificing essentials for popularity is bad, mkay?

Except it's practically the same thing. The whole idea that says if it's generally popular, it svcks. Because, ya know, everybody but hardcoe gamers are stupid, and stuff.

I'm not trying to defend Bethesda's direction with Skyrim. There are a lot of legitimate problems with the game. But, yeah, being popular isn't really one of them.

If the fact that every game I would take a bullet for is obscure by today's standards, coupled with the fact that sequels to those games have chosen to sacrifice complexity for simplicity makes me a hipster, then so be it.
