Cloaking better than camouflage?

Cloaking requires energy and camouflage does not. Let me know what you think about this.

How about both? Passive camouflage would be useful while firing or moving, while active cloaking has all the advantages we've seen in Crysis

cloak is near invisible, even when moving, camo doesnt work when moving

also cloak adapts to your environment, camo doesnt

Like Flamers said, camouflage is only workable in the environment you're currently in. The Nanosuit 2 though works in all environments. It doesn't use shades of colours which camouflage does, but instead it turns the wearer invisible altogether, making them highly invisible.

The algorithm of stealth sounds confusing. But I heard a simple definition from MGS1. Can't remember the exact words, but it uses light to blend in with the environment, or something like that.

Although it's untrue, it's not great when passing enemies, since they can see you.

But I think cloaking is better than camouflage.

cloaking is much better than camo, but may not be practical for a given situation. with cloaking you can get within almost 3-4m of someone before they notice something strange, with camo you have to wait for them to come to you. (or for them to get in your gauss rifle sights, whichever works :P ).

Cloaking is better than camoflauge in the Singleplayer because the AI cant detect it no matter what. In multiplayer, it is better to use camoflauge because the cloak lets out a load directional sound that the enemy can pinpoint you with, but with just camoflauge you can pretty much hide in a bush and they wont notice you.

Your doing it wrong.

middle mouse button + cloak, right mouse button, middle mouse button + strength, left mouse button, middle mouse button + cloak. Rinse and repeat.

THATS HOW ITS DONE!

Cloak would be better than camo any day for I have not yet seen a camo that lets you blend in with bricks/concrete effectively.

Cloak blends perfectly
