Cloaks as a possibility?

Post » Mon Oct 26, 2009 9:32 am

Yes there could be the cliche knight on the horizon, cape fluttering in the breeze, but I'm referring to a hooded cloak, cause I'm a little guilty of mentally merging LOTR aspects with Oblivion, and It bothered me we couldnt wear an actual cloak like a ranger or something. Something about a weathered cloak just says 'survivalist' or 'woodsman' to me.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind cloaks? (If implemented properly)

Cloaks are cool, and I would particularly like to have some cloaks worn on the side over just the left shoulder for example, this conceals weapons and just looks stylish.

Well I don't really do 'noble' goody goody like to do a guy who joins the Thieves Guild, then at a point, he goes from noble thief becomes a repentant hero (courtesy of KotN DLC)

Well, if we're going to Skyrim, we ought to dress warmly, right?

Well, we have a year until our trek to Skyrim, I'm pretty sure we will have plenty of trolls come through here to make a very thick fur and hide coat out of trolls. :spotted owl:

I would love Cloaks, since it would save time waiting for Modders to release them.

See. This is what I don't get. I've never been a huge cloak/cape person. I'm usually interested in different stuff like the inclusion of werewolves or what skills are being added/cut. But there is a huge number of players out there who have wanted cloaks and capes for years, modding them into Morrowind multiple times over. If they aren't in Skyrim, in one form or another, why wouldn't Bethesda add these?

For me, only in combination with light armor and clothing do they make sense.
