Disagree very much with Mass Effect 3 and Borderlands 2 being on that list. ME3 better than spec ops? Right.

Sweet. :)

Spec Ops was amazing for its story but game mechanics wise ME3's combat/cover system and squad commands are way better.

Cool! Dishonored was one of the more unique games this year, so it deserves some awards.

Hopefully this means Arkane has the confidence for a Dishonored II.

True, the cover, combat and squad commands are good but they are not excellent. And ME3 fails in every other category.

I would consider Dishonored GOTY. Game was short, story was lacking, but everything else was amazing. I have never played an action game where I could just choose to spare people and be given the choice to be not just merciful in some cutscene choice, but how I play the entire game.

ME3 was crap. Barely any interesting squad members which is a big dissapointment considering how varied and interesting my squad members were in ME2, only 1 boring hub (no Illium, no Tachunka, no Omega), story wasn't nearly as interesting and gripping as ME2's, and they cut content to package for DLC later; example, do a quest for Aria so she will go back Omega with you and take it away from Cerberus, but the game never ever lets you actually go back to Omega to take it back, and now they're selling the Omega thing as a DLC. The story even makes no sense without the DLCs, example: ME3's ending was basically this "yo dog, i heard you don't like being killed by synthetics, so I made synthetics to kill you every 50,000 years so you won't have to be killed by synthetics", it made no damn sense, but with the Leviathan DLC it was explained the reapers and the cycle in a rational way that actually makes sense.
ME3 should not have even been in consideration for GOTY. I have never enjoyed a game so much as I did with ME2 and be completely enthralled by it, only to get a sequel that does this to me.
