COBL for Skyrim

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 4:24 pm

It would be excellent that the COBL team, with all their ingredients, books and utilities also make a presence in Skyrim, for there is nothing like staying consistent with the lore of previous games through ingredients and books.

Consider this a heartfelt request.

That's the place for requests right now.

Trying to keep it from gettin' too messy. You know how it is.

Then again, this may be something to contact one of the team on...

I think that the sooner a common base and library is made for mods the better and the less conflict.

COBL obviously doesn't make sense as a title... CSKL is kind of not great, but whatever. CSkyL? SkyLib? CoSky? Something.

Anyway, deaths_soul, nice work on the thread, but this is something that needs its own thread. I'll try to contact some of the COBL people to get their input.

COBL's reason d'etre was to patch up mod compatibility where Oblivion's new system fell short...
In other words, the need for another Cobl really depends on how mods are handled in Skyrim.
(Sorry to speak generally, short on time in general so I haven't looked at how Skyrim handles mods... only heard that Bethesda is using a new engine for it...)

However, on specific resources, like the books and ingredients from the previous games, we can contact the modders who created those resources and see if they can be ported to Skyrim.
